Event Detect > Motion Detect not working

I enabled cameras. Set up the period in which to look for motion. Set up the region in which to look for motion. Asked it to record on the camera. Asked it to take a snapshot and to show a message. Saved the event. Nothing happens. No recording, no snapshot. I'd like it to send an email also, but not worrying about that right now.

Please help. In simple terms. What am I doing wrong?

Did you get your camera to work? I am just setting my camera up too. I set my schedule and that seemed to work for motion detection. It looked to me like it was set by default but I changed it manually and it worked. Set up email too and get snapshot notifications.

I just purchased the same camera and have the exact same problem with the Motion and Email, hopefully someone can post a fix or give some direction on this, I have watched and read on how to set it up. but it still will not work..
