24 Hr Recording question
24 Hr Recording question
Is it possible to see when motion occur using 24hr recording so I don't have fast forward through the entire day? My view bar is green all the way across. I don't want to do motion only recording.
Re: 24 Hr Recording question
Yes, you can have 24-hr recording AND motion recording simultaneously.
1) Go to Settings > Storage > Schedule. It should display a green bar for each day (indicating that you are recording all the time.
2) Click Edit next to any day.
3) In the dialog box, click check the box next to MD so that both REG and MD are now checked.
4) Click Save. You should now see a Green bar AND a yellow bar for that day.
5) Repeat for each day.

Yes! It's working now. I asked the tech support this same question and they told me that I couldn't do this. I knew I had read it some place but couldn't recall where.
Thank You:)

This may sound stupid but what exactly does 24-hr recording and motion detect do simultaneously? Isn't this redundancy (double recording) or what? Please enlighten me.johnnyv wrote:Yes, you can have 24-hr recording AND motion recording simultaneously.

Re: 24 Hr Recording question
Hello FinickyBob ,
This will basically record everything and also record the motion detection videos so that you can easily find out when there was any actual movement in front of the camera.

Thanks for your response, Melvin.
In other words it will record everything and it will just "mark" the time where there is motion detected, right?
