I have 2 cameras, both the same model. One I bought last year and a newer version last month.
Amcrest ProHD 1080P WiFi Camera 2MP (1920TVL) Indoor Pan/Tilt Security Wireless IP Camera IP2M-841B
The older camera connects fine and I can view it live both on wifi and via data on the Amcrest View Pro app. The newer camera is set up the same way (as far as I can tell) but can not view live unless I am on Wifi?
What am I missing? What is different between the cameras from last year to this year?
IP2M-841 Camera Can not see unless on wifi
Re: IP2M-841 Camera Can not see unless on wifi
Hello and Welcome to the Forum
IT sounds like your asking about the difference of being connected while on your local Network and not meaning Wifi?
So if you mean that your home and connected to your local network and in case of a Mobile phone then (Over Wifi) but mean that your on your Local at home network and can not View the camera when you have left home or turned off your Local network connection and now only connected to your Cell Service
Then there are a couple of things you will want to do.. First Remove that from your app,, and you will install it again. This time you will want to click on the + to add your camera, Then pick the Wifi Camera, then click already connected at the top right of the app, then click on P2P, then scan the QR code for the camera, then make a name, and enter the user and pass and then click Live view and you should be up and running.. If your at work right now you can stil do this as long as you know the cameras SN and you can just click on Enter SN manually rather then scanning the QR code of the camera...
Hope that helps

Re: IP2M-841 Camera Can not see unless on wifi
This is how I originally setup the camera.
Re: IP2M-841 Camera Can not see unless on wifi
Deleted the camera from the App and added it back in per the above. Same results.
Have the same problem on my wife's phone as well. Can see the older camera, but not this new one.

Re: IP2M-841 Camera Can not see unless on wifi
Older and new camera are you talking about both of them being a 841? or is one the 841V3?
Ok next thing is that Maybe it for some reason has P2P turned off..?
You will need to log into your cameras IP over the WebUI http://ip address/ then your user name and password, then you will want to click on setup, then network, then TCP/IP then in there, there should be an area that says P2P you will want to click that, then make sure that the P2P is turned on... (Enabled) Once that is done and if it is maybe turn it off and then back on again saving each time to make to take affect.. HOwever if there is no check mark only need to check mark it and save or apply.. That is it I will log in one of mine and take a snap shot what I am talking about
