Upgrading to a larger internal hard drive

I have the AMDV7208-8B system and it came with a 2TB hard drive. I'd like to upgrade it to a larger internal hard drive so that I can have more days worth of recordings. The User Manual says the max is 4TB for that system, but has anyone tried to upgrade it to 6TB? If so, were you able to utilize the extra 2TB of space or did it only recognize the 4TB? I don't want to upgrade the hard drive again, so if I can just jump to 6TB, that would be great, but I don't want to spend the extra money if the system won't recognize the space beyond 4TB.

It can work with 6TB drives as well but not all of them are compatible. Please refer to the below link for a list of compatible HDD with the DVR system.
