Incompatible Webplugins for IE

Post by Elvis_Is_Dead »

I have several ip2m-841 and and ip3m-941. Both models use the same webplugin for IE. However I ran into a problem when I recently purchased an ip4m-1051. The newer ip4m-1051 uses a different webplugin and when you install it, it messes up the webplugin for the ip2M & ip3m cameras... making them not viewable from IE.

I tried upgrading the latest firmware in the cameras. Doesn't help. It wouldn't be a huge problem except for the thing is, I use IE to view playback off the SD cards. I know of no other way to easily view the SD card recordings except through IE (I don't wish to pay extra $$$ for cloud service - or an FTP, or whatever else is out there)

This is bullcarp on Amcrest imo. If this is supposed to make me want to keep buying Amcrest... it's not working.

I'm returning the ip4M-1051 camera.

Try the Amcrest Surveillance Pro program. You can replay SD card events there and might like it better than IE. After searching for events on one or multiple cameras in a time period, be sure to click Events on the page see the event list. Export there also allows selected events to be batch exported(downloaded).
