My Pro HD 1080p does not upload anything to my FTP

Hello Amcrest staff

A week ago I purchased the "Amcrest ProHD 1080P WiFi Wireless IP Security Camera - 1080P (1920TVL), IP2M-841"
It works great with the SD card inserted, weather using the web interface or the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software from the CD, playback and live view all work great. It is connected to my WiFi.

The camera is outside so I am thinking storing the data on my network it will be safe even the camera been damaged by bad guy.
However when I tired to make it store data on my FTP, it does not work.
I tried both my FileZilla FTP server on my PC or the FTP on my WD My Cloud Ex2, the camera does't not create any thing on my shared folder. I think it is not the FTP setting because I can use FileZilla FTP client on my laptop to visit both FileZilla FTP server on my PC and FTP on WD My Cloud Ex2.

I captured the setting screen from the camera web interface in attachment, as you can see. I think I am missing something in the camera setting. Any help will be appreciated!

Sorry I can't see your picture - Have you checked the logs on the EX and FTP server do they show attempts at logging in?

I have an EX server and I got it to work.
create an account for the cameras on the EX - create a share - AMCREST creates directory for each camera
in the share config enable FTP! (This is easily missed)
enable FTP for the whole EX in setup network services


on the camera plug in your account info
use the path as /ACCOUNTNAME

That *should* work. Good luck!

Can anyone tell me if the FTP capability of the IPM-721S allows file transfers to any FTP server? I'm looking for a new camera to use with Weather Underground and it requires FTP of still images to their FTP server. Thanks in advance. - Rick
