Hello, I just bought a NV4116E NVR and a couple of IP4M-1026W cameras and I'm having trouble setting up the cameras via hardwired PoE. I have been successful with finding the cameras via WiFi on the NVR. I just can't get the hardwired PoE option to work. As a simple test, I plugged the camera directly into one of the PoE Ports on the back of the NVR with one of the supplied cables. When I manually add the camera with the IP address and password via the NVR I get an "Can not find network host" error. Any ideas on what I can try next?
Thanks in advance.
Hardwire PoE IP4M-1026W to NV4116E can't connect
Re: Hardwire PoE IP4M-1026W to NV4116E can't connect
Double check the IP address and default gateway and make sure they match your LAN. When I was setting up my system with static IP addresses, I noticed they were not consistent. I set up both wired and wireless IP addresses as static and was able to connect both ways. Note that the wireless IP address remains active, even if Wifi is disabled, so make sure you use different IP address for wired and wireless.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for the reply. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet... I'll let you know as soon as I do. Thanks again.

Still no luck. Any other ideas?

Just found a post that explains how to turn on the camera LEDs. I double checked to see if they came on while plugged in via the 12v adapter and they did. Then I unplugged the power plug and plugged in an ethernet cable from the NVR poe port to the camera. Tried to turn on the LEDs and nothing happened. I'm now thinking that the NVR is defective.

I’m not sure the WiFi cameras will work with POE. I have not tried mine with POE, I just ran Ethernet to the cameras and power them with the supplied power adapter. Could that be the problem?

Hi,
I have the same issue describe where the IP4M-1028W will not power via POE with a NVR 4116E. The camera has been power via wall plug and I am able to connect to the NVR on Wi-Fi. It appears the NVR camera ethernet ports are not working.
I have sent a support request to Amcrest. I will share what I learn.
