Amcrest Surveillance Pro for Mac problems

Thought I should share this with anyone having problems with this app on their Mac (not iPad or iPhone).
I've been unable to run the Mac version of Surveillance Pro app for multiple IP2M841 cameras. The cameras themselves are online and Surveillance Pro works great with Windows and iOS devices, but not the Mac desktop version.
After finally contacting tech support, I learned that the website download version for Mac does not work properly (won't load cameras onto view page and nothing saves)
The Tech says there should be an updated version available in a couple of weeks. For reference, it's now August 8, 2017. I hope they get it done soon. I like the program on other devices and PCs.

not to mention, the mac version of surveillance pro doesn't support any nvr capability. The nvr feature only available on the pc version.
