So I have a brand-new IP2M-842E camera - have tested it out on the general network here which has all kinds of devices and hops, as well as being alone on a network with a single laptop and a router...isolated totally, not even connected to the internet.
The video feed seems to have a latency to it of a minimum of 1 second - either viewing it with Surveillance Pro or via IE (can't seem to get the web interface to show the camera feed in Chrome or Firefox). The lag can be a few seconds though, and get jumpy at times.
Anyone have any help to provide for such an issue?
Latency in video feed...
Re: Latency in video feed...
If this is via Wi-Fi then I also had his problem. After a long online session with support staff I got a replacement camera which was exactly the same. I've kicked Wi-Fi into touch, connected via ethernet and connectivity is fine. The delays that I was seeing on Wi-Fi were between 10-20 seconds. It was more a case of still images being updated 2 or 3 times a minute.
Re web interface - I normally use Firefox but for the camera I use Chrome with the NACL Web Plugin. Once the plugin is installed in Chrome, click "Apps" top left and then on the plugin. After that I close Chrome and just leave the plugin window open while ever my computer is switched on (most of the week with a re-boot each week-end).
