NV5216 playback 1hr off

Post by softbox »

Hey everyone. I have an NV5216 NVR that up until about a week or two ago has been working perfectly. I reviewed footage from an incident on 11/20, and all was working great.

Fast forward to 11/25. I attempted to review some footage, and playback would not work properly. I have a cameras set to record 24/7, and I see the green bars on the timeline. When I click on a time to play back, say 7:00pm for example, the cursor will jump to 8:00pm. If I actually want to see 7pm, I'd have to click on 6pm. If I try to review some footage that was just recorded, the timeline will jump 1hr ahead into the grey area. For example, it's 7:30pm now and i try to view recordings from 7:00pm, the cursor will jump to 8:00pm (in the future) and i show 8pm as the timestamp of footage it is playing back, but obviously the recording is not from the future (or is it??).

Anyone come across this before? I've found really old forum posts about camera time/date being out of sync causing issues. But I've already gone through each of my cameras and confirmed they are set to the correct time zone, DST, and show the right time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Also tried the usual: rebooting the NVR, tried playback from a laptop browser, tried playback from the View Pro app, and tried the mac desktop software as well. Also tried doing different combinations of checking/unchecking boxes for syncing clock/DST/IPC etc.

Sadly not sure the issue. What is the current FW that your running?

Only thing I could think of if maybe something to do with 1 hour record times I will have to go check mine out as I never really noticed Maybe log into WebUI and take a Screen shot of what your talking about your clicking the timeline have you tried to see what happens when you play back from history list rather then off the timeline?

Edit: So I just looked at my 2116-HS and depending on what FW your on we might be on same because another user using 5216 has same package as my NVR .. Anyway I just picked a random camera in my Case my AD110 then clicked on 1am and it started at 1 am so I am not sure. When was the last time you did a Reboot?

Did a reboot last night after i made sure all cameras had their clocks sync'ed, and had correct time zones and DST settings. Then I let the NVR run for a day so I could see if any of the settings made a difference.

Here are some screen shots. One is of the timeline taken at 1:49am. I clicked on 1:30am, and the cursor jumps to the future.

The other screen shot is of my firmware versions. Looking on Amcrest's site, I'm running the latest firmware on the NVR.
