Wireless NVR?
Wireless NVR?
I have been having trouble with my Amcrest cameras taking up all of my wireless signal from my router, so I am considering purchasing an NVR. If I do that, can they connect wirelessly to the NVR, or do I haveto run ethernet? If I can connect wirelessly, will the wireless signals go directly to the NVR and save the bandwidth on my regular router?
Re: Wireless NVR?
Hello bfiles,
The cameras can connect to the NVR wirelessly but they will still be connected to router. So NVR can add them as network devices through the router. This set up can save some bandwidth but not significant.
If you have a POE NVR system all POE cameras connect to NVR hard wired, and in this set up the router is not directly linked to cameras. So this can take the load off the router. But in your situation its not possible.
