I just purchased an Amcrest NV4108-HS (non-POE) and got it up and running (kinda). I have it working with 2 Amcrest cameras and an old Foscam outdoor camera that appears to be working via ONVIF.
I have a Mac laptop in our living room that I generally monitor the cameras with. In the past I've been using software on the laptop (Sighthound) but to go from 2 cameras to 3 requires a $250 license upgrade. I decided to buy an Amcrest NVR to deal with the recordings instead.
Safari works fine displaying the cameras directly but when I go to the NVR web interface I get no cameras in the live view. Can I use Amcrest Surveillance Pro to view the live cameras from the NVR? I run it and the NVR was listed as a device and I added it but it just defaults to "Channel 8" and I only see one camera. When I expand the default group on the right I just see that Channel 8 listed. If I drag it to the live view I can see ONE of the cameras which is promising.
Is there a way I can use Amcrest Surveillance Pro to get a live view of all the cameras the NVR is monitoring?
NV4108 Monitoring - Amcrest Surveillance Pro?
Re: NV4108 Monitoring - Amcrest Surveillance Pro?
I'll update my own post just in case anyone is interested. I removed the NVR from ASPro and re-added it. Once I re-added it I still only saw "Channel 8" listed but after a few seconds it refreshed and all my cameras showed up. I must say this is a WAY better solution for monitoring the cameras from a computer than using the web interface. It's been running for a couple days now with no issue.
