I had just purchased a unit to replace a NV1104E that had the power supply shorted out in it. When looking at it, it seems it did not have a power switch. Next I could not get the IP Config application to regconize it. My router recognizes the the ip addres, but I cannot get it to interface. The Amcrest website does not even show it as a product at all. How does this unit poser on and off externally? Is this a discontinued item? Is there any support at all for it?

Yes NV2104E is the replacement for NV1104E.This goes with most of our 4 channel kits now. There is no external power button for this. You will have to shut down from the menu.
