Video works on LAN, with local IP address. Does not work when accessing via remote address through no-ip. I can get into settings, but the main video display gave me an error "Main connection failed".
I've tried activating UPnP, but all default settings show "Mapping failed".
P2P is enabled.
On my Linksys router, I have added a single-port forward for the this camera, and I am attempting to access it on the internet using the assigned port. I have three other cameras on the network (Foscam) and all are accessible via my no-ip domain. All are set up the same way, with single-port forwarding.
I have also set up an account on amcrestview.com; the camera is viewable after clicking the IPC button.
Please advise on getting this camera to work using no-ip so can set it up on my phone using TinyCam Monitor Pro.

So you are saying you can access the cameras web interface remotely but that you can't get live video? Meaning you can access other menu items?

Yes, I can get into settings remotely. I just don't have a video feed; I think the "main connection failed" error is in reference to the video feed.TheUberOverLord wrote:So you are saying you can access the cameras web interface remotely but that you can't get live video? Hello MostlyHarmless,
Just wanted to update you that for the remote view to work with Amcrest camera, you need to have port forwarding set up not only for the http port, but the TCP port of the camera also. I think this could be the issue you are encountering.

Thanks for the update. I added the TCP port to my router's single-port mapping and that fixed the issue.Melvin wrote:Hello MostlyHarmless,
