I have IP2M-841 and IP3M-954E and set up ftp uploading.
IP2M-841 saves recordings with mp4 format, but IP3M-954E only supports dav format.
As far as I know, recently IP2M-841 firmware was updated to support mp4.
Would IP3M-954E firmware be updated for mp4 recording in next release?
How soon that would be?

I have the same two cameras. Amcrest has promised mp4 for the 954E, but it hasn't "dropped" yet.

Yesterday I checked software version on the website and found that version numbering (V2.400.0000.15.R) is same as mine but build date is different.
So, I tried to update firmware and connected to the camera.
After "factory reset" (on configuration page, not just power on and off) of the camera, it is now recording mp4 files.
I don't know why only build date is different while version numbering is same. However, now it works fine.
