Hi everyone.
I hope a kind soul or some representative from Amcrest support could address my questions:
1) Camera's working environment spec says, "-30°C~+50°C" and that's great. Does anybody know what are the operating temperature specs for the power adaptor?
2) Camera came with 2.420.AC00.26.R (2016-08-31) firmware. There is a new firmware V2.400.AC01.15.R (2017-03-28.) The change log says, "10. Security improvements." Could anybody explain exactly what are those? The rest of the firmware improvements are not critical for me, so before I take the time to unmount the camera to update it I rather know how relevant that change is.
Thank you very much for your attention.

Hello Intrigued,
1) I believe the operating temperature for the adapters are the same.
2) Its a good practice to update the firmware as it adds security enhancements whenever needed. There were critical security enhancements with the latest firmware.

Thanks for your reply, Melvin.
I asked about 1) because the power adaptor has a house icon in its label which normally means indoor use, while the camera is for outdoor use. I know some Amcrest indoor cameras have lower specs, like "-10°C~+45°C," so if there is no other data available I will take that as baseline.
Regarding the firmware, I understand updates should be for the best, but reading some forum posts I'm concerned about losing some functionality or getting problems I currently don't have. Knowing what was fixed, it would let me decide between doing the update or implementing changes from the router side.
