IP2M-841B needlessly recording

I just installed this camera. Everything seems to be working fine except I'm getting large mp4 videos going to my local FTP where I wanted to store videos and pics manually.
These videos are happening all day/night and they are 242,508 KB files.
They happen every 8 minutes.
I'm using the web UI and I think I have every option for recording automatically disabled.

Software version is V2.420.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2020-02-17
I checked the logs and there is nothing recorded for these events.

I am also a Foscam user and I have 3 cameras working. Two of these are configured for motion detection and they are working fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think I found the issue. There was a setting offering the three choices, "auto", "manual" and "disable". It was set as "manual" which I assumed meant it was the switch to "record" when someone chose it. Once I changed it to disable, no more automatic recording.

I'm glad this worked. It would be better if the UI had descriptions of functionality when hovering over an option. Also, when I searched the documentation this was not found, so that wasn't an option.

You might want to put on Auto if you want it to record Motion. If not and want to record when you want then leave disabled..
