I've been following the other thread (June 2019) that listed the "beta" firmware for this camera model, but I don't see that the firmware ever got out of "beta". One year is certainly long enough to validate the software as being stable (or not).
So here's the interesting thing - I just took delivery of a new IP-2496 and it has firmware v2.622.00AC000.0.R with a build date of 2019-10-24, which is a later version than the "beta" posted in the June 2019 thread. This camera appears to be working OK, and I'd like to update my other IP-2496's to it, but I can't find it. Anyone know where it is ?

Since the 10/24/19 works for you, I suggest downloading and installing the 10/24/19 firmware and not the 3/20/20 firmware. Installing 3/20/20 may work but if not you probably can't downgrade. IMO, upgrading to any new amcrest firmware right now is pretty risky.
