I have the 16 channel IP/POE nvr (NV4116E) and am trying to tweak my camera resolutions and fps so as to not overload the system. I have 10 IP cameras connected to my LAN and 2 cameras connected to the POE ports on the Nvr. When I review the network loads under the menu does the download figure include the cameras connected directly to the nvr?
I wouldn't think the cameras connected directly to the nvr would put any additional load on the network.
Can anyone confirm the LAN port on the NV4116E is a 1000mbps and not only 100mbps? The website shows the nvr is capable of 80Mbps so presumably a 100mbps LAN port wouldn't accommodate this load.
Do cameras connected directly to NVR count in network load???
Re: Do cameras connected directly to NVR count in network load???
I have the NVR4108 model, it connects at 100mbps. I moved all cams and NVR to a Fast Ethernet (100mbps) POE switch and it works fine with no measurable drop in performance. Cisco, cheap on ebay with a gig uplink to blue Iris seeing how AMCREST cant pull their heads out of their ass and make their software work with a modern browser. All the CAMs are 100 as well.
