I have 11 dome 4K 8mb cameras connected to a hikvision NVR (amcrest was sold out of the nvr I needed). 9 of the cameras work great and am able to select 3840x2160 for resolution.
Two of the cameras will only go up to 704x480. I can’t for the life of my understand why.

Hello and Welcome to the forum
How are you trying to connect your Cameras? NVR POE Port or Over your network IP?

Re: Camera resolution issues
Either way I am going to guess that it is the limit of your NVR.. If you remove one of the other cameras that loads at the right resolution and install one from the D1 setting cameras, my guess is that it will work as expected.

Re: Camera resolution issues
I’m not following. The NVR I have is a 16 port POE.

Re: Camera resolution issues
I would try to Remove one of the working cameras from the back of the NVR. Plug one of the non working cameras into the PORT and check that the Encoding for the camera has changed from low to the real resolution and not stuck on low resolution. IF that didn't change anything then try a different port on the NVR and factory reset the Camera and see if that cures anything.
Also another thing if you have your cameras Bit Rate very high maybe lowering the connected cameras Bit Rate some might help getting the others you want installed running as well.
