Bugs for: IP2M-856E ( V2.460.AC01.0.R )

Post by Trelor »

I installed a new IP2M-856E ( V2.460.AC01.0.R ) over the weekend and I came across an annoying bug. My setup is as follows; save the motion alerts to an FTP server. Capture Video + Snapshots; HOWEVER if you try to capture Snapshots and videos it will record the snapshots as .1second videos and not take video. If you turn off the Video the snapshots work, if you turn off the snapshots the video works. This is very annoying and is clearly not be design. Please advise.

Also not as annoying but still bothering...I have some older camera that user an older browser plugin and if I update the plugin on my PC i can only access the new camera not the old cameras (This one supports .265 whereas the older ones are .264 only which is probably the issue).

No bug solution, but if you use a video viewer like VLC, you can take a snapshot of any frame you want to while viewing your videos.

I was trying to say that I knew of no bug solution, but mentioned a workaround that might help you now. I have no association with Amcrest, and believe this forum is primarily a User forum, not a Amcrest Support forum. You should contact Amcrest Support to discuss and report your bug problem. If you are using current firmware, you could have a long wait to get a firmware fix. You said it's a new camera so perhaps you could just return it.
