Are the desiccant packets supposed to be left in the camera?

Are the desiccant packets supposed to be left in the camera?

Referring specifically to model IP2M-863EW-AI
Amcrest, what is your recommendation? Remove them, or leave them in the camera?
And if we should leave them, where should they be placed?
