App vs Web UI vs NVR

Hi,
I am still trying to learn the set-up on my cameras. I have the 4K domes and PTZ cameras. I dont understand what really controls the settings of the camera: set-up on the app or the Web UI or the direct set-up on the NVR. Can anyone help.

The last one to update a camera setting is the current setting. The Web UI is the only one that can set ALL camera settings.
