Anyone know if all wifi cameras use the same antenna "type" (extension)?

I need a little better connection on my Amcrest wifi camera thats pretty far from the house. I found several antennas for other camera brands on Amazon but wanted to see if anyone knows comparability

I bought a bigger WiFi antenna hoping it would extend the range. It didn't screw on tight like the original antenna. Needless to say, it was worse than the original. It could not pickup anything.

Why not use a wifi Range Extender?
