@amcrest168 I am using a PC based NVR, so I don't think I have any other option other than to connect via RTSP (even figuring out the configuration of the RTSP stream was a challenge). During my testing, when the NVR lost its connection I had a continuous ping going, which failed at the same time and came back shortly before the feed was restored. I also couldn't log in through the mobile app at the same time. I'm leaning towards a power issue as stated by @Revo2Maxx , and thinking that the camera is rebooting shortly after the IR LEDs turn on. I'll try a larger transformer. I just grabbed the largest one I could find at the local big box store. I'll try and order a bigger one off of Amazon and see if it makes a difference.

@Jurykov, i am not convinced the issue is with the transformer. are you using a 3rd party pc based nvr or using the amcrest surveillance pro?

Hey, jsut a small update!
i managed to get a rma and got today a new one fedex to me :D

@Ekke, be sure not to use the amcrest ip config tool with any smart home cameras. only use the smart home app with smart home cameras for now. good to hear you're getting a replacement.

@dhudik, live view works fine even when the doorbell is added to an amcrest nvr. be sure NOT to make any doorbell configuration changes from the nvr or risk bricking the doorbell. stick with the smart home app when configuring the doorbell configuration. you can then safely set the nvr storage schedule for regular and motion detected recordings.

i think amcrest should have shipped the doorbell with a simple note warning users only to use the smart home app with the doorbell configuration and highlight the imminent risk of bricking the doorbell when using amcrest legacy apps.

it's my strong opinion the doorbell reset button should be protected from any errant configuration or else it beats the purpose of having a factory reset button.

@Ekke Something that kind of puts up some red flags is the left side of the photo it says 8-16v then says 6v Max 15 watts... 1 That transformer isn't going to be big enough for the doorbell camera. 2 It is hard to tell what I am looking at in the picture.. I would need better deteail of your system. Make Model? Odd thing is it looks like there is some large house wire like what would carry Mains Voltage. Then I see some Ultra Thin Wires or at least 1 but kind of looks like 3 and them some Ultra small wires... Would need something that is good enough for 2amps.. to the camera

do not make any attempt to change any of the ad110 preset values using the amcrest ip config tool. making any change to the preset values could render the ad110 to go offline and become unresponsive. factory reset button no longer works when ad110 is unresponsive.
I did a Similar thing but via DVR/NVR.
I began by adding the camera to my DVR/NVR and you could see the camera just fine, But when I went in looking to adjust some setting within the DVR/NVR setting the main Amcrest Smart Home app became un-responsive. Fortunately after a Hard reset and fresh re installation via the Amcrest Smart Home app I got it up and running once again.

I'm a bit disappointed that their isn't more customization with in the app itself i.e. Save via FTP, NVR, or Computer. Sort of feels like they are really Pushing their cloud service down your throat. And Expensive one at that.

I am a little lost? I have my Doorbell on my NVR had it on my DVR and now back to my main NVR that I have setup over FTP for my Doorbell and a couple of other channels. I wish there was a way to send a Ch0 to FTP that would be cool but I don't see the option. What is important to NOTE about the DOORBELL camera for now DON't make any Changes outside of the Smart Home app.. It can and has Bricked Doorbell Cameras....

I don't like Cloud systems because there is to much case of others without permission to use footage or view cloud based footage and I am not looking to freely give things without me knowing it.. I am not saying this would happen over Amcrest Cloud however I did hear it happen with another company that uses the maybe the same cloud servers. SO I will never pay for storage again. I have 2 offsite Ftp servers that I store footage on if I find I need to keep for one reason or another...
Be Safe.
