Old app can connect but cant send notifications, new app can. But can only connect on wifi.

Ok, story time.

So my old app worked well and I used it to send me email notifications on motion detection. This worked out for years with a email account I set up until one day it didn't. I tried to get it to work, no luck. And notifications were disabled for the app and I couldn't enable them. No idea why.

Then I discovered the new app, so I downloaded it. Connected it to cams. It could send me notifications, and that worked out much better than the email system.

However, it can only connect to the cams over wifi. I go out, I still get notifications but I cant connect to my cameras and see what was detected or live view over cell network. Have to go home and connect to the wifi.

However, the old app works over the cell network. I can check live view and playback no problem from anywhere.

So currently im using both apps. One to send me notifications, and the other to check the cameras when out if the house.

Anybody got a way to get the old app to send me push notifications?

Or to get the new app to connect over my Verizon cell network?

Any help would be appreciated.

To access Over Phone Wifi you have to setup your cameras to use P2P access doing this using the UUID aka serial number of your camera. That will let the camera connect over your phone wireless access.
